Abstract interface for a large automotive parts catalogue with filters and product details
E-commerce architecture for a catalogue of 50 000+ products

Context

A large catalogue and multiple business data sources

The project covers more than 50 000 product items and continues to grow. The platform must function not only as a storefront but also as part of the business's operating system.

The catalogue had to be connected to stock, prices, orders, and order statuses, while vehicle-parameter parts search and technical SEO had to be built into the architecture from the start.

  • Architecture for a large catalogue
  • Price and stock synchronisation
  • Order exchange with the CRM
  • Vehicle-parameter search
  • SEO functionality built during development

Solution

We designed the platform around business processes

The team began with technical documentation and architecture, while a marketer and SEO specialist joined the project before the interface and back-end implementation.

  1. Architecture and documentation

We documented the requirements, designed the platform structure, and defined the data exchange points between the catalogue and external systems.

    • Technical documentation
    • Project architecture
    • Integration scenarios
  2. Design and development

We created the design, implemented the front end, and programmed the platform back end in Node.js.

    • UX/UI design
    • Front end
    • Node.js back end
  3. Integrations

We connected an accounting system to retrieve stock and prices and a CRM to receive orders and return their statuses to the website.

    • Stock and price synchronisation
    • Sending orders to the CRM
    • Receiving order statuses
  4. Search, SEO, and feeds

We implemented vehicle-parameter parts search, technical SEO functionality, and product feeds for external services.

Interaction architecture

Data moves with the order

The accounting system sends current stock and prices to the platform. The user browses the catalogue and searches by vehicle parameters, while each new order is sent to the CRM.

After processing, the CRM returns the order status to the website. Separately, the platform generates product feeds for connected external services.

  1. Catalogue synchronisation

Stock levels and prices flow from the accounting system to the e-commerce platform.

  2. Parts search

The user narrows the catalogue by vehicle parameters and finds relevant items.

  3. Order processing

The order is sent to the CRM, and its current status is returned to the website.

  4. External channels

Product feeds deliver structured data to external services.

Current status

The platform continues to evolve

We created the e-commerce project's technical foundation, catalogue, parametric search, accounting system and CRM integrations, SEO functionality, and external feeds.

The team continues to expand the functionality. No quantitative sales, traffic, or conversion figures are claimed for this case study.

The project is in progress: we publish only the verified scope of work, without forecast or unverified KPIs.
